Cuvee, a champange bar

I went to Cuvee this weekend, a new champange bar in the 3rd ward. It’s a cool concept – typically too expensive to buy by the bottle at a bar or restuarant, this venue offers many top quality bubblies by the glass. You can also choose a flight of three for a reduced price on each. In addition, they have about a dozen crafty champange cocktails. I had one called the “dizy” which contained brandy, grand marnier, and champange – very tasty! I also tried a sparkling shiraz from australia, what a neat concept – the tannin of red wine combined with tiny little black bubbles made this very interesting.
A little pricy if you just going out to drink, but a great stop pre/post dinner!

My wife moved out this week to stay with some friends for a while. It sounds drastic but I assure you it’s not. At this point I’m in the frame of mind of “whatever has to happen here to make this work, let’s do it.” Turns out some time apart to search our own feelings and work out some of our own issues is what the doctor calls for here.
In the mean time, living alone is boring. I’m trying to fill of my nights with activities other than couch-potato TV watching. I have a weekly poker game, I’m buying TF2, and I’m looking into taking another Tai Chi class. The weekends, well, let’s just say I missed out on my bachelorhood/college days, so I’m making the most of it.
Thanks to all for your support, I’m really doing OK. Suggestions to fill the time are appreciated. Andy has volunteered to be my life coach, so notwithstanding better suggestions from all of you, I’m en route to clear out the living room furniture and buy a pool table! Ha! His other idea was to “get me pregnant.” I didn’t go into details….the pool table is looking like a good idea now!
